How to Run for Local Office Webinar
Wednesday, February 12 from 6-7:30pm

This free, nonpartisan webinar is for anyone interested in running for local office, specifically in Franklin County, PA. Anyone interested in learning how local government works is also welcome to join.

You will learn:

  • An overview of local PA government, elected and appointed offices

  • The nuts and bolts of running for office: petitions, financial reports, etc.

  • Plus, local officials will discuss their experiences running for and serving in local office

Presenting during our webinar will be:

  • Peter Thomas Wulfhorst, retired Penn State Extension Educator

  • Jean Byers, retired Franklin County Elections Director

  • Lance Walker, Chambersburg Area School District Board

  • Chadwick Hare, Chambersburg Borough Council

Community Festivals & Volunteer Opportunities

Franklin Votes volunteers will be set up at a variety of community events to provide nonpartisan voter information and resources.

Our volunteers can help you:

  • Register to vote

  • Check your voter registration status

  • Change your name, address, and/or party on your voter registration

  • Apply to vote by mail

  • Check your polling location (where you go to vote in person!)

  • and more!
